This series is dedicated to the danish painter, Vilhelm Hammershøi. Last year when I had the opportunity to see his paintings in real life in Copenhagen I was totally captured by the silence, the solitude and the geometry of his paintings. I especially liked the ones with "a door in a door in a door..." motif. I immediately decided to create a paraphrase of his works but had not the slightest idea how or where to do it until 2-3 months later I found this building with the perfect door-system during an urbex tour in an abandoned military complex. I knew it was the perfect location for my hommage so I organized a 2 days long shooting with different props and models.
